It was very interesting recently to discover a large blue chip company had gathered the results of the previous twelve months 'green' implimentations and realised it had made savings in excess of 5%. Not only is green good for the environment it is also good for the pocket too.

I work for an event planning company in Spain and we are aiming to be at the forefront of green meetings and events. This is slow progress and we are having to educate ourselves as well as others in the local industry to the benefits of green orientation.

If you are thinking of organising green events here in Spain please feel free to contact us.

Also we are continually looking for good resources, service providers etc that can help with this direction.

Best regards, Sarah

De-growth is the new frontier of environmentalism. The concept is not as spread and common as sustainable development ,because it conceives sustainability possible only as a non-development. We should say "GDP de-growth", to point at the core concept of de-growth. It might scare many though!
