Great blog! Very useful information for event organisers here in the UK! Speaking of Apple and event management applications, the organisation that provides my event management software has an iPhone application for their online registration platform. You can check your event registration reports and respond to participant inquiries right from your iPhone. http://www.activenetwork.co.uk Cheers!

A great list. I was interested in many of these applications, but unfortunately some do not work with Tiger only Leopard. But Notebook is fabulous! I cannot tell you how useful this has been and I have only been using a short time. A fantastic organizational tool. As I take notes, I love the fact that I can refer back to an entire word document, pdf, or website if necessary. Easy and simple to use. It has cleaned up my desktop tremendously.

Great tips Matteo!

Dropbox is my favorite file sharing system! I love it.

I think VNC is more useful when you actually forgot to synch or share a folder and you need to retrieve it. It's an ultra safety measure. The ranking is purely chronological following the planning stages.

GDoc again is super cool although I tried to focus on software. I am sure than next post will be on online services and the Cloud.

The cool thing about Anxiety is that it syncs with Mail/iCal (Which I don't use as I am a Gmail/Gcal fan). But again I think the Google suite is a must for online offline integration.

Great points you raised!
Julius

Interesting how you put Chicken at the first place. My view: depending on the type of files and the connection availability, GDocs could do. Or, if the two machines run on OSX, you could use Dropbox (free up to 2GB I think).

Caffeine is essential imo, it does one job and it does it perfectly. The free version of Jing only allows for Flash videos, which is fine in many cases but some could find it a downside. Klok and MindNode are very nice tools (I love mind mapping and MindNobe is awesome...).

What do you think of Anxiety being essentially an offline tool? What if, say, you don't use Mail/iCal?
