F.A.Q.

I get at least one of these questions a day, here are my answers.

Q: What is it that you do?

A: I started working with events marketing almost 10 years ago. I got involved in social media since 2007. My day job involves managing social media global companies as well as running events.

I have been planning all sorts of events and still do. From traditional conferences to barcamps, from networking events to product launches.

Q: I want to start a career in event planning, can you help me?

A: I would suggest you search the blog well and then head to our Linkedin Group, we have a career section there.

Q: Can I pick your brain on my latest project?

A: My brain has limited capacity and scarce time, therefore I do not offer one-to-one advice unless you want to hire me as a consultant.

I share the views on this article, so please read it!.

The best advice is summed up on the blog, I really write a lot of what I share with my clients here.

If you want customized advice, get in touch through contact section and tell me what you have in mind.

Q: Do you speak at events?

A: From time to time I speak at both face2face and virtual events. I usually talk about social media for b2b organizations and event marketing with social media.

Q: I have a client that wants to buy a text link from you

A: We do not accept paid links on EMBlog.

Q: I feel my content would be great on this blog, can I write for you?

A: Yes. Here are more info.

Q: I can’t find a comment I posted a while ago, what happened?

A: We recently switched commenting platform. Some comments got lost in the transition, sorry!

Q: I sent a press release but you haven’t posted about us, why?

A: We do accept press releases (use the contact section to send yours) but that does not mean I will publish it. If you want to make sure that your product makes it to the blog, you can purchase a sponsored post. Please use the Advertise Section.

Q: How can my pitch be considered?

A: Be concise, attach media, tell me the benefit for my readers, reach out to me on Twitter and introduce yourself. I don’t like to be part of pr campaigns or when I spot mass emails (I am very good at that, read my day job) you usually make it to the spam folder.

Q: I want to advertise with you, how do I do that?

A: Please use the Advertise section

Q: I commented on a post but never seen my comment published, what happened?

A: We reserve the right to publish only the comments we find relevant and appropriate to the conversation.

If your question is here, don’t ask it again as it’s likely won’t get an answer. If your question is not here, please use the contact section.
