I stumbled onto your blog and have been reading back a little. I am praised for staying calm and not panicking. This is not inherent in me. After planning events for seven years, I've learned it is the ONLY way to actually move forward and EVERY event will have a crisis. How you handle is the key to everything. Great blog.
