Our most popular article of the year, 10 Event Trends, is out in its 2015 version. What will define the way we run events next year?

Update: Find the latest trends report here

10 Event Trends is a tradition of this blog. It's a presentation featuring the 10 trends defining the event industry for the next year. This year for the first time we are also releasing a FREE report for you to download, with no email required.

We've been running this presentation for the past 5 years and frankly, we are not tired of it. More than 375,000 viewed the slides, thousands downloaded, liked and commented on them. I've personally presented them all over the world.

What Happened Last Year?

Last year we asked you to vote for the most significant trend.

Since much of our trends are the result of a research of the industry, we wanted to get a feeling of what you felt was the most meaningful trend for you.

More than 1,500 readers voted and as a result 'Plan by App' was the most influential trend of 2014.

What's New in the 2015 Event Trends Report

The first big news is that this year we are also publishing a short report with the presentation. This is a 15-minute read that will expand on the analysis of each trend. This is a free to download report.

The second new aspect of 10 Event Trends for 2015 revolves around content. While we still focus on technology as the primary driver of the report, we also included venues and events defining new trends in 2015.

We also introduced categories of trends covering attendees, #eventprofs, speakers, venues and events.

A 5 Year Long Research

As always this report is not the result of meaningless speculation, gut instinct or futuristic scenario analysis. The report sums up an ongoing research into what event technology startups (and from this year, venues and events) are focused on offering. Whenever we spot a recurrence of providers offering the same service, that becomes a trend.

We see these trends as opportunities rather than commandments. The forward thinking event professional will look into those that make more sense to implement in their business.
