UK and European Event Startups can now apply to be shortlisted for a dedicated Startup category of the Event Technology Awards.
I always stress we love event startups at Event Manager Blog. Since we also love to walk the walk, we are glad to announce the sponsorship of an Event Tech Startup Category at the Event Technology Awards.
After having a chat with the awesome Adam Parry and team, we decided to support a recognition that event startups deserve.
Paul Allott form the ETA also decided to waive the entry fee, opening up participation to young businesses providing technology to the event industry.
Here Is What You Need to Know
Submitting your startup for voting is entirely free. You have time to submit your startup until September 30th.
In order to qualify you need to have to meet the following criteria:
- Your company must have been established not earlier than 1st January 2011
- You do not employ more than 10 people
- You are located in the UK and/or Europe

Voting and Winner
After the 30th of September, 10 finalists will be announced. Finalists will be selected by the ETA judges. Only the most innovative services will be selected.
Online voting will then open to select a winner. Who gets most online votes wins the prizes.
The winner will then be announced at The Event Technology Awards ceremony to be held in London on the 15th of November, and will also win 3 months free advertising on Event Industry News as well as a featured article on your beloved Event Manager Blog.
